At Faultline Armory, we are committed to making the firearm purchasing process as straightforward and compliant as possible. As a federally licensed firearms dealer (FFL), all firearm sales and transfers are conducted in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Please review the following information before purchasing a firearm or requesting an FFL transfer.
Eligibility to Purchase
Purchasers are responsible for ensuring they are legally eligible to purchase and possess firearms under all applicable federal, state, and local laws.
By placing an order for a firearm, you represent that you are legally permitted to purchase and possess the firearm being ordered.
Faultline Armory reserves the right to refuse or cancel any transaction that cannot legally be completed.
Firearm Purchases
All firearm purchases require compliance with applicable federal and state laws before transfer.
Depending on your location, this may include:
- Government-issued photo identification
- Background check(s)
- Required forms and documentation
- Waiting periods
- Age verification
- Additional state or local requirements
Firearms will not be transferred until all applicable legal requirements have been satisfied.
Online Firearm Orders
Firearms purchased through our website must be shipped to a licensed Federal Firearms License (FFL) unless otherwise permitted by law.
Customers are responsible for:
- Selecting a receiving FFL prior to shipment
- Ensuring the receiving dealer is willing to accept the transfer
- Paying any transfer fees charged by the receiving FFL
- Completing all required paperwork before taking possession
Orders may be delayed if receiving FFL information is incomplete or cannot be verified.
In-Store Firearm Purchases
Customers purchasing firearms at our retail location must complete all required federal, state, and local requirements before taking possession.
Completion of payment does not guarantee immediate possession of a firearm.
Firearms will only be released after all applicable legal requirements have been been satisfied.
California Customers
California residents are subject to additional firearm purchasing requirements established by state law.
These requirements may include, but are not limited to:
- Background check requirements
- Waiting periods
- Firearm Safety Certificate (or qualifying exemption)
- Proof of identity
- Proof of residency, when applicable
- Safe handling demonstration, where required
- Additional documentation required by California law
Applicable notices and acknowledgments required by California law may be presented during checkout or at the time of transfer.
California Assembly Bill 1263 (AB 1263)
Effective January 1, 2026, certain firearm-related purchases shipped to California are subject to additional verification and acknowledgment requirements under applicable California law.
Where required, customers will be presented with mandatory notices, certifications, and acknowledgments during checkout prior to completing their purchase.
Failure to provide required information may delay or prevent shipment.
FFL Transfers
Faultline Armory accepts firearm transfers from federally licensed firearms dealers in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Transfer requests are subject to:
- Verification of the shipping FFL
- Compliance with all federal, state, and California requirements
- Completion of all required paperwork
- Successful completion of the required background check
- Payment of applicable transfer fees and state-mandated fees
Customers should not arrange shipment of a firearm until they have confirmed that Faultline Armory has agreed to accept the transfer.
Dealer transfer fees are published separately and are subject to change without notice. State and federally required fees are assessed in accordance with applicable law.
Transfer fees compensate for the administrative processing, secure storage, compliance, and recordkeeping required for every firearm transfer and are non-refundable once transfer processing has begun.
FFL Transfer Fees
Dealer Transfers (Online & Out-of-State Purchases)
- $75 Dealer Transfer Fee (per firearm)
- Plus applicable California DROS and state-mandated fees
Private Party Transfers (PPT)
Private Party Transfer fees are charged in accordance with California law.
NFA Transfers
Please contact us for current NFA transfer pricing and availability.
Additional Services
Additional fees may apply for services including, but not limited to:
- Extended firearm storage beyond the pickup period
- Special handling requests
- Expedited processing, where available
Unclaimed Firearms & Storage
Customers will be notified when their firearm is ready for transfer or pickup.
Firearms not claimed within a reasonable period after notification may be subject to reasonable storage fees.
If a firearm remains unclaimed and reasonable attempts to contact the customer have been unsuccessful, Faultline Armory reserves the right to return the firearm to the originating FFL or otherwise dispose of the firearm in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Any return shipping charges, storage fees, or other associated costs incurred may be the responsibility of the customer.
Firearm Inspections
Customers are encouraged to inspect firearms at the time of transfer.
If you believe a firearm was damaged during shipping or is incorrect, please notify Faultline Armory before completing the transfer whenever possible.
Once a firearm has been transferred, returns may be limited by applicable law, manufacturer policies, and our Returns, Refunds & Warranty Policy.
Denied or Delayed Background Checks
If a firearm transfer cannot be completed because:
- A background check is denied;
- A purchaser becomes legally prohibited from taking possession;
- Required documentation cannot be provided; or
- Applicable legal requirements cannot otherwise be satisfied,
the transaction may be canceled.
Customers may remain responsible for applicable shipping charges, return shipping costs, transfer fees, and any permitted restocking fees.
Refunds, if applicable, will be issued in accordance with our Returns, Refunds & Warranty Policy.
NFA Firearms & Regulated Items
National Firearms Act (NFA) firearms and regulated items are subject to additional federal requirements.
Processing times are determined by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and are outside the control of Faultline Armory.
NFA purchases generally cannot be canceled once paperwork has been submitted or the item has been specially ordered.
Additional transfer fees, tax stamps, and regulatory requirements may apply.
Ammunition & Restricted Products
Certain products may not be available for shipment or sale in all jurisdictions.
Customers are responsible for ensuring any firearm, magazine, ammunition, or accessory purchased from Faultline Armory is lawful within their jurisdiction before placing an order.
Faultline Armory reserves the right to refuse or cancel any transaction that cannot legally be completed.
Firearm Safety
Firearms should always be handled responsibly.
Always:
- Treat every firearm as if it is loaded.
- Keep the muzzle pointed in a safe direction.
- Keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to fire.
- Know your target and what is beyond it.
- Store firearms securely to prevent unauthorized access.
- Follow all manufacturer instructions and accepted firearm safety practices.
